Party @469 ("Hey hip and happening name for a school." Insert comment.)
Monday was patron's day. Like any half-decent undergraduate, this made up good enough an excuse to party, imbibe and pretend it was our very own party-in-the-park. School authorities-wise, it was good excuse to splurge on fancy white posh tents, get media attention and invite (euphemism for pay) idols to grace the event.
Like I said, wit a 15% fee hike, anything can happen. My take on the matter, none too serious, is that from now on, this can be the ubiquitous comment in quite a number of conversations that involve anyone impressed wit our school -
"How come you guys get to use msn on laptops during class?" Insert comment.
"So cool, the city campus." Insert comment.
"Wah, what funny professors you have." Insert comment.
"Tiger beer on tap for free on campus?" Insert comment.
"Eh I also want to meet simon tay and russel wong." Insert comment.
Anyhow back to monday, I have to agree wit E that it was one of the funniest and most enjoyable days wit the girls. Shereen and shyn were great on stage, wit shereen announcing our presence (her two best screaming mates/fans) to the crowd and shyn looking extraordinarily vampy in typical spg format. Bratwurst and mashed potato, adam road nasi lemak and smuggled tipple, zouk drum guy and great crowd, not to mention dancing security guards too.. the night couldn't have gotten any better in a post-colonial setting. Oh, yes it could have, if only E wasn't so busy growing her adam's apples. And don't remind me about J's could-have-been - a brand new cellphone, now gone.
