Living the busy bee lifestyle, buzzing amid distractions.

I'd chanced upon block43 in my haphazard search for local galleries. I think I'll go down for a visit one day, maybe even take up a course in contemporary art theory in the near future. Great find indeed and soul-soothing especially after all that snubbing by a couple of art galleries, been rather dampening on my moods. Note to self: All you snotty art dealers, just you watch out if I make it big some day, materialistic fools! And while I'm on the topic of art and the works, I will definitely head to 798 space if I manage to make it to beijing again this june.
Even more haphazard than the search for local galleries, the planning for a june backpacking trip to mongolia via the trans-mongolian railways is requiring immense patience, plenty of emails (to a mongolian friend, beijing ones, tour agencies, fellow backpackers found at thorntree, etc), the art of persuasion and enough uncertainty to last a lifetime in the face of piecemeal not-sure-if-reliable information scattered on the internet and limited printed material. I will pursue the dream and live it.
This being the only motivation for me to cut down on my various vices of sorts so that I'll be able to afford the trip and a lovely deel to boot, I reckon it is good for me and good too for my sometimes-overly-anxious mom whom I had a nice little bonding session with yesterday with the help of a chinese friend in beijing over msn. Technology never fails to amaze, I can finally die content.
