Those photos finally, and I doubt I would have them today if I hadn't asked the girl for them.

Quite simply it shows that without the right equipment and right amount of money, a star photographer can also churn out mediocrities befitting amateurs like us. I choose to keep the faith and would prefer to think it is the former reason which overrides any other.

Sadly, ironic is the fact that the shot he had taken at his own exhibition venue is one that pales so much in comparison, certainly not making the selection (if so imagined) to the walls hanging full of perfectly-angled moments. Oh but for the lack of good lighting and preparedness rather, I suppose.

In real life, he is more humorous than I had thought. While coming over to join us for this shoot, he commented in mock irritation about the fidgeting crowd trying to find good positions, "You may stand anywhere, but DO NOT block my pictures on the wall behind!" Heh, and all of us burst into laughter.

p/s It was my turn to do a presentation in art class today, thankfully I'd managed to keep the class enthralled (and disgusted, according to E) with Hans bellmer. The overwhelming majority (ie. all minus two/three) voted by a show of hands that his works were pedophilia rather than art. Controversy didn't manage to split the crowd but I'm glad I'd revealed a shocking aspect of art that would set them thinking about other issues. Here's more about him if this has already sparked off the curious-minded among us.
