On being tricked to walk to (nearly and eventually) far east square.
Here's my sin-free teochew porridge, also extremely pocket-friendly too.
This is one of the oldest temples around singapore, and it sits awkwardly in the middle of the central business district. I go there with my family about once a year, it's pretty inside. Well, that's if you are into spiral incense coils, age-old wall murals and the musty smell of dingy interiors.
